Gleaming Towards the Sun

The passion behind her eyes attracts the sun's energy,
and the beams from her lenses display their great synergy.
She is bold and determined in each step taken
that the blazes from the soles of her feet are unmistaken.

She is not the alter ego of I,
for I possess intensity that high.
I am more than meets the eye,
for I am Sky.

Le Boho Chat

When I go on my hikes, I am usually very inspired because I use that time to thoroughly connect with myself. My mind spurs many interesting ideas and thoughts as I absorb the surroundings with a clearer mind.
Recently, I was inspired to throw together a boho-chic styled coordi since I had this super cute white flare-sleeved top from LF Stores.
With the rocky and sandy terrain in mind, I threw on the daisy-woven cat-ears to create an image of a cute little mountain lion.
The white furry fanny-pack added the last touch to bring the kitty to life.

In Japan, one of my favorite stores to visit is Spinns. They do a great job in providing the latest Japanese fashion trends in terms of pop street-wear.
What caught my eye the most was this Spanish-inspired textile of clothing. The fact that it was in baby pink made it jump to my part of the world. I also love that the shorts are laced up on the sides to snug your waist. Its just the perfect set of clothing to wear on a hot summer day, for festival-wear, to the beach, or literally anywhere casual! haha

Adventures in the American Village

Today we took the train from Nagoya to my Aunt's place in Osaka (my favorite city in Japan after Tokyo :P
The first thing I had to do was shop at AmeMura which is an "American" village. Its a cool place to shop because many of the stores have a Western style but, of course, always with a Japanese flavor. Its fun to see the trendy stuff circling around and comparing it to LA's fashion scene.
Aside from the shopping, one cannot leave Osaka without a takoyaki fixing….it's what Osaka is known for.

I was stoked to see my friends' brand from LA have their goodies sold here at Spinns. So happy~

The Queer Pier

It has been quite some time since I last visited Santa Monica Pier…

As I walked through Pacific park, after purchasing a ticket for a ride on the ferris-wheel, I felt so out of place. It was swarming with families, screaming kids, and generic people, that I felt uneasy. I guess I have been used to a more secluded community of talented artists and inspiring people that I couldn't handle this which makes me question myself even more.
This is not me being pretentious at all, it just made me aware of my surroundings.

A scary and weird experience at the pier I'd say.

Nonetheless, we found the exotic birds fascinating. I had fun~

I Am All: Good and Evil

The one thing I regret while I was still in community college was not taking more philosophy courses.
Coming from a non-religious background, I was so fascinated and enthralled in learning how the universe functions and exists through different lenses.
Some of it didn't make any sense to me, yet some beliefs grasped my soul.
One of them was Taosim.
It surprised me that I already had my ideas of opposite forces attracting together to create balance and harmony that I learned through my own experiences alone.
Everything in life strives for balance from biological/scientific background and in the sensible world.
In order for one to exist, the opposite must be present; and together they make something complete.

I mentioned my personal thoughts on ying-yang because Z Hovak's karma free apparel spurred these ideas with their black/ white set that I am featuring in this post.
I love that
the top and bottoms are changeable, so I can have 4 different looks whenever I feel like it.
I like having options.
Not to mention, the pretty Ohm leg chain completes the image in its entirety.
