Cherish Beyond Your Screen

I lost my phone on Sunday when I was at HARD Day of the Dead. The second I noticed that my phone was gone, I knew it was over. The thing was that I had TOO much fun at the festival that I was NOT careful with my belongings.
I was livin it.
I am obsessed with Gesaffelstein, so I knew I was going to be wild… but wasn't expecting to lose my phone.

Anyways, its been about 5 days without a phone, and I feel so off. I was stressing out a lot in the beginning because I can't post anything on social media which means a loss of jobs/ modeling gigs, I can't meet up with any friends, can't use uber, can't take selfies, omg the list goes on…

Then, I thought to myself, there is no reason to bring myself down about this.
I found ways to maneuver the best I can, and I became more in tune with my surroundings. Instead of killing time waiting in the grocery line by texting, I had to just stand in line and be. Its strange how awkward we think just "being" is. People think of it as not doing anything and would see a person as weird when they are just standing still, doing nothing. Thinking and observing IS doing something.
I made myself think about the things I love and acknowledge all the beautiful things around me.
Cherish them.
Take a look at the sky...
cherish the clouds~

These new kicks featured in this post are called "Cherish" by YRU.
It fell into my situation almost too perfectly;
It was meant to be.

Teaching Babes

As the bell finally rings, the students rush out the door, and she is left in the empty classroom tired and drained.
She takes a deep sigh and stares into the blank space with weary eyes.
"How can I make my job more enjoyable?" she asks herself.
Sitting at her desk, she lets her mind wander into the other side of the world where she can be who she wants to be.

Fur by the Poolside

With my oversized circular pink-tinted glasses,
I gaze into my glittery lava lamp until hypnosis.
Lost in time and space until reality surpasses,
I believe thats what the 70's guru says.

I just want to add that I am in love with these new lavender velvet flare pants by [esqape]
It sums up my fashion taste perfectly. Its the cutest, softest, and most unique bottoms that I own.
It was made for me <3

A Day of Popkiller's Vintage, Quirk, and Fun

Had an amazing time shooting with the peeps at Popkiller this summer (sorry this post is late :/ )
They carry the raddest glasses, socks, vintage items, and a ton of awesome gag items to gag over.
Of course their own brand of clothing is hella cute as well.
Check out their web-store, if not, their stores all around LA!!!

Osaka Gal

Some of my family lives in Osaka, so I stayed with them for a week and got to check out a lot fun places there.

Today I went to Doutonbori which is one of the most popular areas for tourism in Japan.
It is a long street that lies alongside the Doutonbori river.
This street is famous for having a ton of Takoyaki stands, neon signs, Glico Man sign, and its many interesting shops.

The Kani Doraku Crab is one of Doutonbori's landmarks.
I still haven't tried this restaurant yet; the line was too long.
Next time!

Takoyaki (octopus balls) is Osaka's "meibutsu" which is a term used to describe a city's most famous products.
Thus there was no question for me to have a round of this delicious street food myself.
Honestly, takoyaki tasting this good is only cooked here in Osaka.

This here is the entrance to another long street called Shinsaibashi
It is different from Doutonbori because this district is known for being the city's main shopping area.
Clothing stores, brand named stores and such run the entire way.

I also checked out this very popular shopping area known as Ame-Mura (American Village) because it is located west of Shinsaibashi.
This area accounts more of the pop, vintage, and nightlife that attracts a lot of Osaka's young consumers  who's interests include fashion, music, and art.

At my fave store Village Vanguard. They have the most interesting things here from vintage items to Miyazaki merchandised knick knacks.
