Fangophilia in LA

One of the most creative and unique jewelry line, Fangophilia, has its first pop-up shop in America, and I am so thrilled that it's LA! 

Today, I attened the opening-day of the shop and got to meet the artist behind it all. 

Taro Hanabusa is a dentist from Tokyo with a secret agenda: he is also an ingenious jewelry designer who has designed accessories for many American artists such as Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, and is currently working with Nicki Minaj and Brooke Candy.

The Pop-up shop will last until November 2nd

The space is set up very nicely.
The underground-industrial feel is fitting for this type of work since it almost makes it feel like you have entered a hidden lab of a mad dentist.…partly true :P

This particular face-piece was hand-crafted for the legendary Michael Jackson.

You can clearly see his facial features and definitions on the mold.

It is truly exquisite. 

Someday I will be able to get a face-armor personalized for myself.

In the meantime, I am impatiently waiting for my very own fangs to be made!!

I got my mold done today, but he will finish making the actual metal-form of the fangs when he returns to his lab in Tokyo.

I'm so stoked to have it done! eeeekkk

Such a Sweet Day 14/14

I made it an annual thing to spend time with my boo, Noella, every Valentine's Day.

We had a lovely lunch date at a cute place called TART across the street from the Grove. 

I love this babe. 

She has been the dearest friend and is so beautiful in every way.

Spent the rest of our time at the Grove.

Pretty as always.

I finally got to see Noella on the floor working at TOPSHOP!!!

Had a gorgeous Valentine's dinner at home…such a treat.

Steak, scallops, lobster, and salad.

And the infamous red velvet cheesecake and a fresh banana cream cheesecake both from the Cheesecake Factory to top it all off.

Never had a better cheesecake in my life. I could cry. 

Such a sweet day <3

Wrap My Lips Around their Buns

There's no burger like UMAMI Burger.

Yes of course I love my In-n-Out obvi, but there's something about Umami's taste that is so different. 

It infuses Asian flavors into their recipes which is also where it gets its Japanese name from.

I had to give my babe, Noella, her first Umami expereince.

She boldly ordered the "Manly Burger" while I got my favorite, "The Hatch."

Our meal was not complete without their bomb ass sweet potato fries along with their house ketchup and garlic aioli.

I LOVE this Umami location because its located in Space15Twenty which is also where Urban Outfitters, Free People, Pharmacy, and a bunch of other cool stores are at.

Puri in LA

I got to spend time with my new sweet and adorable friends from Japan and Brazil :]

It gave me an excuse to hit the purikura machines in Little Tokyo.

Those machines are old and crappy, but I was desperate to take cute pics LOL

UNIF sample sale

Great part about living in LA is that we get in on all the sick sample sales.

LA brands that sell their stuff on online boutiques like dollskill, nasty gal, karmaloop, and etc, are usually Downtown based, so I can actually physically shop than spend hundreds online plus shipping/ handling.

I underestimated how many people were going to be there. 

What I thought was early was late; I ended up getting there later than everyone (9am) and stood at the back of the line.

However, UNIF was well prepared and still had enough bomb stuff by the time I got in YAY!!

I am hooked on One Piece right now, so I had to cosplay my fave character Tony Tony Chopper <3

I decided to celebrate my Halloween at the West Hollywood Costume Parade.

There was a ridiculous amount of people, but I still had so much fun.

It was so hyped especially with the DJ and live music. 

Everyone was dressed up amazingly ~I could not think of a better place to see dope costumes~

Shinsaibashi Date

I went to hung out with my friend from Osaka at Shinsaibashi. 

We took Purikura and ate really bomb okonomiyaki and yakisoba at this restaurant on Doutonbori.

This bakery called Pablo is extremely popular because it has the best cheese tarts. 

The line is usually very long, but on this day, the line was super short. I lucked out!!!

I finished off my day with this delicious mango parfait <3
