My Heel's Makeover

I had the raddest outfit styled for my birthday party this weekend. Everything was perfect….except the shoes!!!!!!
Panic hit me like a gust of wind shortly after I realized that I didn't have any shoes to go with what I planned on wearing.
The perfect shoe that I dreamed of would be nearly impossible for me to find within a short amount of time, so making my shoes was the only option.

Luckily I had a pair of these plain but very cute heels that I bought for super cheap.
They were begging me to have them pimped-out.

I would like to share with you the process that these babies experienced.

STEP. 1
I painted the white wooden parts with this awesome rainbow, metallic, oil-spill colored nail polish from American Apparel.

STEP. 2
I found this really cute ribbon at Michaels for only $2, so I knew I had to incorporate this material on my shoe somehow.
The back of the shoe it was!

STEP. 3
BLING TIME!
I love these cohesive gems that I got also from Michaels. I super-glued them all on the back of my heel and on the sides.
I also used the left overs to stick on my face and body hehehe.

That was basically it!
TA-DAHHH <3

Customizing your own stuff has such a rewarding affect. I felt so proud to wear these bad boys around and now even able to take credit from compliments on them.

~My Birthday~

I started off my lovely day with a cake run to my favorite bakery in LA known as Sweet Lady Jane.
Their cakes are extraordinary because it always has the perfect amount of sweetness, cream, and moistness. I couldn't get my cakes anywhere else.
I added some fresh flowers to my vase, and viola! My birthday decorations came together just as I had  visioned (I was going for a cute floral kind of vibe as this year's theme.)

My favorite part about birthdays is the gift-opening part…duh!
It made my day to see my grandmother's package from Japan make it here just in time.
Just as I expected…the packages from my grandma are always sardine-packed with Japanese snacks and cute stuff.
Since it was my birthday, I requested her to get me these Balance Up Genmai Biscuits by Asahi. Last year in Tokyo, I became obsessed with those cream crackers, so I desperately needed a supply here in LA.
Now I have it, and I am a happy gal ^_^

Thanks Jim Shires for the cute birthday gifts of the Kutusita Nyanko cat that I adore.

Being the sparkle-lover and dollcult-obsessor that I am, I had to get some of my Nikki Lipstick pasties and clothing as gifts <3

The rest of my day was simple amazing!!
I went to get my nails done, followed up by getting a full-body thai massage from Nuch Royal Thai Spa
Black-Dripped Chanel gel french tips

I spent the rest of my day at the Grove and had a wonderful dinner at Maggiano's, which is one of my favorite Italian restaurants.

I ordered the Chicken Caprese Salad…and omg, one of the best salads I've ever had!!!
I also highly recommend ordering their Baked Ziti and Four-cheese Ravioli

My best friend Noella works at Top Shop, so I decided to pop in and surprise her at work since I was already at the Grove..…hehe
Love this babe.

Anime Expo 2014

Although the size is no where near Comic Con's, Anime Expo is rapidly increasing its con-goers every year!
Luckily, it is held annually at the LA Convention Center in Downtown which is very close to me.

I was excited to be an exhibitor at the con this year for Banpresto with a couple of my friends.

Too bad that I was only allowed to cosplay on the last day; otherwise, I would've cosplayed on all 4 days >_<
Since our booth sold One Piece figurines, I decided to wear my Chopper cosplay <3

These babes are wayyyy to cute <3

It was very fun as usual even though I didn't have the time to actually walk around and enjoy it for myself.
Concluded my time at AX with kakigori (shaved ice). yum!
Till next year AX!!!

The Original Cult Sample Sale

This was definitely the best sample sales I've been to so far.
The Original Cult Outlet in Downtown's Arts District opened its factory up for a sick sale.
Everything was half off!!! I'm so sorry if you missed it >__<
I love living in LA.

The Original Cult Outlet Sale carries the brands: Lip Service, Kill City, 24hrs, and Widow.
Other brands like Iron Fist and Nasty Gal was there as well.

I got to meet sooooo many rad babes. So much fun~

My outfit today:

So this was my haul!!!
I got a bunch of Lip Service stuff, some Super shop 24hrs stuff, and a cute Iron Fist wallet along with a bunch of patches and pins.
It was all so cheap that I felt a little guilty walking away with my load hahaha!

Get Outta my Mind

When the habits of making false assumptions about one is conveyed,
measurable frustration spurs.
I value purity, and I aim to walk on the straightforward path.
Nothing to hide; no games to play.
Get out of your head, and get out of my mind.

Review: Eat Your Heart Out Diet

Out of all the short-term diets I looked into, this seemed the most effective and do-able, so I thought I'd give it a try and see how this really works.
I thought it wasn't very hard because its the opposite of starving yourself or eating in small portions.
The only limitation is eating a certain food group that it assigns on each day. What you eat in this week is balanced and the nutrition is added up to what you would intake in a day.

Here's the complete diet plan:

DAY 1, DAY 2, & DAY 3
I definitely lost most of my weight on these first 3 days because I was basically eating less calories than it takes to burn them.
The hardest part is just not being able to drink my zero-cal and sugar-free drinks because only water and tea is permitted.

DAY 4
My favorite day because I'm obsessed with bananas and I love my soy milk.
I was finally able to eat my favorite Carbmaster yogurt and have some coffee (because I can only drink coffee with some milk in it.)
However, I admit I didn't follow this day exactly because I didn't want to eat like 8 bananas because they are high in sugar and calorie.
So I ended up eating some veggies instead…oops. I hope that didn't affect it; I didn't think it would.

DAY 5
This was the hardest day for me only because of how limiting it was.
I ended up over-eating chicken because it was tasty and nothing else to eat except tomatoes that I grew tired of.
But damn that was a BIG mistake because I actually GAINED WEIGHT by eating too much chicken TTATT

DAY 6
Although I was allowed to eat any veggie with the chicken, I
still over-ate my chicken…idk why.
I didn't lose any weigh this day either :[

DAY 7
I finished my diet off strong with eating veggies only although I was supposed to eat cabbage soup all throughout the day.
I modified the cabbage soup into a more Japanese style of food for my liking.
I made nabe (hot pot)!!!

I can proudly say I didn't cheat at all on this diet expect for the couple times when I had some fruit when it wasn't fruit day.
But no MAJOR cheating going on (eating sweets, or anything not listed on the diet).
SO I should have lost 10lbs according to this diet….BUT I did't unfortunately.
It could be that my body works differently since I noticed that I should be on a diet that makes me eat smaller portions throughout the day.
I also need to decrease my protein intake and consume more veggies.
I probably should've drank more water too.

Because I am disappointed, I'm thinking about trying the diet again, BUT this time going STRICTLY by the book. No alterations for my liking.
I will eat my cabbage soup and I won't eat any fruit when I'm not supposed to.
I just really am so curious to see exactly how much I can lose on this diet if done word by word.

Overall, I followed this diet entirely; I am just disappointed in the results.
