Cherish Beyond Your Screen

I lost my phone on Sunday when I was at HARD Day of the Dead. The second I noticed that my phone was gone, I knew it was over. The thing was that I had TOO much fun at the festival that I was NOT careful with my belongings.
I was livin it.
I am obsessed with Gesaffelstein, so I knew I was going to be wild… but wasn't expecting to lose my phone.

Anyways, its been about 5 days without a phone, and I feel so off. I was stressing out a lot in the beginning because I can't post anything on social media which means a loss of jobs/ modeling gigs, I can't meet up with any friends, can't use uber, can't take selfies, omg the list goes on…

Then, I thought to myself, there is no reason to bring myself down about this.
I found ways to maneuver the best I can, and I became more in tune with my surroundings. Instead of killing time waiting in the grocery line by texting, I had to just stand in line and be. Its strange how awkward we think just "being" is. People think of it as not doing anything and would see a person as weird when they are just standing still, doing nothing. Thinking and observing IS doing something.
I made myself think about the things I love and acknowledge all the beautiful things around me.
Cherish them.
Take a look at the sky...
cherish the clouds~

These new kicks featured in this post are called "Cherish" by YRU.
It fell into my situation almost too perfectly;
It was meant to be.

Hypothetical Worlds

Humans are confused.
The Government is dark.
The Earth is controversial
The Universe is unknown.

"What a place this is," she thought to herself as a tornado of questions, doubts, and concerns overwhelmed her little mind.
The uneasiness in her stomach brings her to question everyday, "How can we live in such a place where we know nothing?"
"Perhaps that is why Socrates stated that he knows nothing."The more she ponders about our existence and creation, the more she finds that she knows less.

She takes her gaze up to the sky, and whispers "But I know that they're watching us."

Teaching Babes

As the bell finally rings, the students rush out the door, and she is left in the empty classroom tired and drained.
She takes a deep sigh and stares into the blank space with weary eyes.
"How can I make my job more enjoyable?" she asks herself.
Sitting at her desk, she lets her mind wander into the other side of the world where she can be who she wants to be.

Bad Grrrlz Go 2 Skool

I am proud to say that I am starting my first quarter at UCLA as a transfer student, yet I've been thinking against it to be honest.
I finished my last class at my community college back in February, so I've basically took the spring and summer off to really enjoy my life and do the things that I've always wanted to do. During my time off, I got on a roll with the modeling thing and fell in love with styling and fashion. I improved my pole dancing skills, socialized, made a lot of connections, and traveled.
I'm the happiest I've ever been, and things have been going well but I sadly know that all of this will come to an end once school starts. Things that I want to do in my career don't require getting a degree, so why am I going?
The thing is, I put in so much effort.

In this post, I used my shoes as the key factor that changes the image.
Once I slipped on my baby pink boots on with "Baby Girl" written on the tops, I transformed myself into a good girl.
But what is a good girl?
Not being rebellious, not taking risks, nor trying something new.
I'm going back to school mainly because I feel that it would be a waste if I just threw it all away now. I went to Santa Monica College and busted my ass there for 2 years already and went through the time and stress of completing applications. There is just way too much time that I invested in getting into a University, thats why I feel like I should at least give it a shot and see how much I like it or not.

Adventures to the Jim Morrison Cave

"Look up how to get to The Jim Morrison Cave," he asked me to do before we got on our way to discover this obscure place. I googled it, and followed the pinpoint to where it corrected as "The Corral Canyon Cave."
When we arrived to that destination, he turns to me and says "This is not it. It's not something you google. You have to really search for it."
I took a few moments and finally found a blog where the writer gave a detailed direction of how to get there from the point where you park your car to hiking towards the concealed entrance.

It was definitely more of an intense adventure than I was ready for. Nevertheless, the difficulty made it so much fun. After exploring and getting help from some hikers, we cam upon this extremely narrow cave opening that had the caution "Beware" spray painted all over the rocks…. It was intimidating.

We climbed through the cavity together and popped our heads into a world of a bubble gum pink trippiness. I've never seen anything like it, nor was I expecting anything like it:
Every inch of the cave was covered in crazy hand-painted illustrations. It is also known as "the Pink Vagina" because of the way its exit looks hahahaha!!!!!!

I was surpsied to have never seen any photos of this cave online or anywhere before. I thought it was so weird why such an extravagant place was not blown up by any of us artsy people here in Cali.
I guess not everyone is down to put in the handwork of finding it…only the pirates deserve such a treat to experience the Jim Morrison Cave.

And a hippie pirate I was~

Le Boho Chat

When I go on my hikes, I am usually very inspired because I use that time to thoroughly connect with myself. My mind spurs many interesting ideas and thoughts as I absorb the surroundings with a clearer mind.
Recently, I was inspired to throw together a boho-chic styled coordi since I had this super cute white flare-sleeved top from LF Stores.
With the rocky and sandy terrain in mind, I threw on the daisy-woven cat-ears to create an image of a cute little mountain lion.
The white furry fanny-pack added the last touch to bring the kitty to life.

In Japan, one of my favorite stores to visit is Spinns. They do a great job in providing the latest Japanese fashion trends in terms of pop street-wear.
What caught my eye the most was this Spanish-inspired textile of clothing. The fact that it was in baby pink made it jump to my part of the world. I also love that the shorts are laced up on the sides to snug your waist. Its just the perfect set of clothing to wear on a hot summer day, for festival-wear, to the beach, or literally anywhere casual! haha
